🚀 Getting started
How do I create an account?
Go to /app/#/signup and enter your name, email, and password. You don't need a payment card for the Free plan. If you already have an account, log in at /app/#/login.
What does it cost to get started?
The Free plan costs $0 and includes 1 active campaign, 20 games per month, all game types, and the "Powered by Leadwin" badge. See all plans. All prices exclude VAT.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You set up the campaign in the dashboard and paste one line of code into your website. Platforms like WordPress, Shopify, and Wix let you add code without touching the site itself. See the installation guides.
What templates are available?
You can start from the templates "Online store – discount," "Trade show booth – giveaways," "Restaurant and café," and "Newsletter – growth." All come with ready-made prizes, text, and colors you can change.
How long does it take?
The guide Get started in 10 minutes walks you through six steps, from account to published campaign.
🎡 Games and prizes
What game types are available?
Seven: prize wheel, scratch card, gift pick, slot machine, pick-a-card, dice roll, and daily reward. They all share the same prize stock, form, and dashboard. You can try them on the games page.
How does the slot machine work?
The slot machine has three reels. Three matching symbols win. The outcome is determined by your prize setup on the server, not in the browser.
How do weight and probability work?
Each prize has a weight. A prize's chance is its weight divided by the sum of all weights. With weights of 40, 25, 24, 10, and 1 (sum 100), the prize with weight 10 has a 10% chance. Weights are relative, so the sum doesn't need to be 100.
What happens when a prize runs out?
You can set a stock on each prize. When the stock runs out, the prize is no longer given out, and the other prizes get a larger share. Leave the stock field empty for unlimited. You can refill at any time.
Can I include "Try again" or no prize?
Yes. You can mark a prize as a non-win, for example "Try again" or "Thanks for playing". This helps you control cost.
Can people cheat?
Anti-cheat is on by default with one game per email address. The outcome is drawn on the server, and each prize code is unique and can only be redeemed once.
Can I set a start and end date or a max number of games?
Yes. Under campaign rules you can set a start and end date and a maximum number of games.
How does pick-a-card work?
Visitors see five face-down cards, pick one, and flip it. The prize is drawn on the server no matter which card is picked, and follows your prize weights and stock.
How does the dice roll work?
Visitors roll a 3D die, and the number from 1 to 6 decides the prize. You decide what each number gives, and the outcome is drawn on the server.
How does the daily reward (streak) work?
Visitors get a 7-day calendar with a new prize every day and a grand prize on day 7. If they miss a day, the streak resets and they start again at day 1. The game is designed to bring people back.
How does the daily reward remember who's playing?
The participant enters their email address the first time, and the device is remembered afterward, so they don't have to fill it in again on their next visit. Try the demo at /p/demo-streak.
🔌 Embed and installation
How do I put the game on my website?
Paste this line right before </body>: <script src="https://DITTDOMENE/embed.js" data-campaign="ID" async></script>. You'll find the right address and ID in the dashboard.
Does it work with WordPress, Shopify, Wix, and Squarespace?
Yes, and with Webflow, Google Tag Manager, plain HTML, and React/Next.js. Anything that lets you add a script will do. See the guides.
How do I use my own button?
Set data-mode="manual" on the script and add data-leadwin-open to a button, or call Leadwin.open() from your own code.
How do I show the game in the middle of a page?
Use data-mode="inline" and data-target="#element". Control the height with data-height.
How do I measure in GA4 or Google Tag Manager?
The script dispatches leadwin:open, close, play, and result on window, and pushes them to dataLayer (for example leadwin_result). You'll find examples under events and GA4.
Why isn't the game showing on my page?
- Is the campaign set to active?
- Does
data-campaignmatch the ID in the dashboard? - Used up this month's games? Then the campaign is temporarily unavailable.
- By default, the pop-up button only appears once per session after it's been closed. Open the page in a new private window to test.
📊 Leads and data
Where do I find my leads?
In the dashboard under Leads. There you can search, filter, and see who has won and whether the prize has been redeemed.
Can I export leads?
Yes, you can download all leads as CSV and use them in newsletters or your CRM.
How do webhooks work?
With Pro or Business, we send a POST with JSON every time someone plays, for example to Zapier, Make, or n8n. The message has event: "entry.created", the campaign, and the lead with name, email, phone, company, answers, prize, whether it was a win, code, and marketing consent. See example JSON.
How do I redeem a prize code?
Open "Redeem prize" in the dashboard and enter the code the winner shows. Each code can only be redeemed once.
Do winners get an email?
With Pro and Business, winners can receive an email with their prize code. On Free, the winner sees the code on screen.
Can I ask for custom information in the form?
Yes. You can add custom fields, and the answers are saved with the lead and included in CSV exports and webhooks.
🛡️ Privacy and GDPR
Is Leadwin GDPR-friendly?
The form has its own consent field that you word yourself, and the consent is saved with the lead. You also get a separate, optional field for marketing. Read the privacy page.
Who is the data controller?
As the customer, you are the data controller for the information you collect from your visitors. Leadwin is the data processor and processes it on your behalf.
What should the consent text say?
State clearly what the information is used for, and link to your own privacy policy. Consider splitting consent in two: one to participate and one optional for marketing. The text is legally your responsibility, and we recommend having a lawyer review it.
Can I delete leads?
Yes, you can delete leads in the dashboard. Do this, for example, when someone asks for their data to be deleted.
💳 Plans and billing
What happens when I reach 20 games?
The campaign shows "All prizes have been given out" or a message that it's unavailable until next month begins. The leads you've collected are kept. Upgrade to Pro (5,000 games) or Business (50,000) to continue.
What counts as a game?
Every game a visitor completes, even when the outcome is no prize. Games are counted across all your campaigns.
What's the difference between Free, Pro, and Business?
Free: 1 active campaign and 20 games. Pro ($49/mo): 10 active campaigns, 5,000 games, no badge, webhooks, emails to winners, and custom CSS. Business ($149/mo): unlimited campaigns, 50,000 games, priority support, and white-label. All prices exclude VAT. See pricing.
Is there a discount for yearly billing?
Yes, annual billing gives you 20% off.
🎪 Booth and trade show
How do I use booth mode?
Open /p/ID?kiosk=1 on a tablet in full screen. The game resets between participants and is ready for the next person.
How does the QR code work?
You'll find the QR code in the dashboard, and under Print materials you can order a poster with a QR code. Visitors scan it and play on their own phone, so the queue at the tablet gets shorter.
How do I hand out prizes at the booth?
The winner shows the prize code, and you enter it under "Redeem prize" in the dashboard. Set stock on the prizes you actually bring with you.
🖨️ Print materials
How do I design a poster or other print material?
Go to Print materials in the dashboard, choose a product and one of ten style templates (including Confetti, Clean, Neon, Waves, Retro, Pop, Elegant, Minimal, and Custom image). The QR code, colors, and logo are set automatically from your campaign, and you can adjust the text while watching the preview.
What do you do with the design before printing?
We deliver a print-ready file with 3 mm bleed and crop marks, and we check the design before printing. The QR code is vector graphics and stays sharp at any size.
How do I order print, and how long is the delivery time?
Choose a product, design it, and click Order. You order directly from us, choose the quantity in price tiers, and enter a delivery address. We print and deliver. Standard delivery time is 5-8 business days, and the delivery time is shown for each product. You track the status in the dashboard: New, In production, Shipped, and Delivered.
What does it cost, and how do I pay?
Prices are shown per product and quantity in the dashboard and exclude VAT. You pay by invoice. Shipping is extra and shown before you order.
Can I change the design after I've ordered?
Not for an order that has already been placed. Adjust the design in the dashboard and place a new order. You can also reorder more of the same.
What happens to the QR code if I change or delete the campaign?
The QR code is permanent. Each order gets its own fixed code that is never deleted or changed. It opens the campaign you choose, and you can switch campaigns at any time in the dashboard without reprinting. If the campaign is deleted, the code shows a friendly "campaign has ended" page instead of an error.
